Looking for an alternative to the Vattenfall InCharge charger management portal? Tap Electric can help you

Important:

Vattenfall InCharge recently announced that they are ending their management services for EV home chargers. They are completely stopping  service for existing home chargers in October 2026.

During this transition, home charger owners need to look for an alternative charging management platform to ensure they have access to their charging infrastructure, smart charging schedules, and energy data.

Do you currently manage a home charger via Vattenfall InCharge? Then you should switch to an alternative management platform today!

Why switch from Vattenfall InCharge to Tap Electric?

1

Keep your existing charging infrastructure

All OCPP-compatible chargers can be connected to Tap Electric without replacing your existing hardware. This allows you to seamlessly continue operating your home charging setup while avoiding unnecessary replacement costs or installation downtime.

2

More user-friendly charger management

Switching from the Vattenfall InCharge backoffice to Tap takes just a few minutes. We have created a simple step-by-step guide to help you connect your OCPP 1.6-compatible home charger to Tap.

As soon as your charger is connected, you can manage your charging infrastructure remotely through Tap Electric’s platform. With Tap, you can monitor and schedule charging sessions, manage settings and guest user access. You can also monetize your drive way, by configuring RFID access and pricing settings.

  • Start and stop charging sessions remotely via the app
  • Set up smart schedules to charge when energy prices are lowest
  • Track costs, energy consumption, and charging capacity in real time

3

Great customer support and full transparency

Whether you are charging your own car at home or setting up split-billing for a company car, the Tap app makes charging clear, simple, and completely transparent. Our great customer support makes setting up and managing your charging stations effortless.

4

Free charger management

Tap Electric does not charge monthly licence or startup fees, you can access almost all of our features for free. If you make your charger open to the public, those drivers will pay a small transaction fee – this also applies if you are charging with your employer’s charge card. For you, charger management at Tap is free. For those with more advanced needs like home reimbursement, we have fleet management available for a small monthly fee.
