How does Tap make money?
We make money through our premium hardware features, driver subscriptions and driver transaction fees.
Drivers with our top subscription don’t pay any transaction fees, but without it you do.Let’s say you’ve set your charger tariff to £0.50 per kWh.
- Without a subscription, drivers would pay £0.55 per kWh (£0.50 + 10% transaction fee).
- With a subscription, drivers would pay as low as £0.50 per kWh.

What does Tap pay me when my chargers are used by drivers?
When a driver uses your charger, you receive the tariff set for your chargers.
If you have a service plan for maintenance and support, arranged through your installer or operator, we’ll automatically deduct the agreed-upon service fee and pay you the remaining balance.
We process payments monthly, and you’ll receive any earnings the following month in your nominated account.
